The Loop-H3304R G.SHDSL plug-in card provides high-speed digital transport over wire pairs by using 16-TCPAM, 32-TCPAM technology for E1 point to point application. A choice of line rates is available with the lower line rates applicable to the longer reaches. The distance that this technology can span without repeaters is dependent on the data rate. The H3304R plug-in card can work with the remote unit of H3310, and H3300-3S.

For WAN ports, the H3304R takes two G.SHDSL lines as a group which can be configured with the software to be 1-pair, 2-pair, or 1 + 1 protection. For single slot card, the H3304R has four G.SHDSL lines which can be grouped into different combinations. For example, combinations can be four ports of 1-pair line, or two ports of the 2-pair line. For tributary ports, the H3340R provides one 4-port E1 tributary cards.

The rack card is intended to be plugged into the Loop-C5600 multi-services shelf for use of central offices. The H3304R supports configuration and diagnostics by using a local terminal, remote Telnet, SNMP management, or LoopView via the controller of C5600 shelf. That allows the execution of diagnostics and fault isolation.
